Child's Play

These last few days have been astonishingly warm.... If my sources are correct Oslo was the warmest city in Europe on Friday. I can live with that....
Consequently, the children are not as inventive as usual. Therefore I dedicate this blog to them. The reason is that their rooms are stunningly
tidy. That is very rare...

This is the room of my soon-to-be three year old. This is her haven. She spends a fair amount of time here, playing with her stuffed animals. Her favourite friend is Pooh. He goes where she goes. In fact the entire Hundred Acre Wood lives in her room, aside from Christopher Robin.... A friend of mine claims that he will show up when she is fourteen...
This is the room of our family's aristocrat - The Princess, self claimed, that is.... She rules her realm with a firm and chaotic hand. Little people, like her younger sister, are not allowed, except when granted an audience.

In her own pink world she reads a lot of books - mysteries are a favorite. She sings, and draw, holds court - the other girls in our neighbourhood, there is no doubt who reigns around here....

But when the job is done she is our adorable girl, who like to be read to and cuddle up in the sofa to watch a movie with mum - "Harry Potter is so cute..."

At some point they both wanted chandeliers. Well to be correct, my oldest wanted one, and so the youngest one desided that she should have one too. Since no one had the kind they wanted, I had to make them. They were very pleased, and the chandeliers are appearantly a favourite to both of them....
