Merry Christmas to you

Whiter shades of grey....
It's truly a winter wonderland out there for the time beeing. Nature looks so peaceful - unchanging, like it can stay this way for all eternity..... It's quite striking and breathtaking - to me anyway!

I am so looking forward till tomorrow, when I get to open these gifts from Carol E.
I'm very excited :o)

This is from the latest Tilda book: "Reindeer on stick". I've made it for a-soon-to-be two year old... Hope he will enjoy it when he is big enough :o)
I think this reindeer turned out quite handsome ;-D

For two little girls I've made these ponchos, they are also from the latest Tilda book :o)

I think the birds turned out quite nice, I tried to make them look a little diffrent, so they can tell the ponchos apart....

An angel dropped by when we decorated our Christmas tree....

Santa is in the house, he sings all the carols while he dances, if we let him....
(he has a little button on his back.....) DD1 has never liked him, too noisy, DD2 loves noise, she thinks he is great fun....

To all my friends in blogland, best wishes for the holiday....
I'm truly greatful for knowing you.

Inspired by Lynne....

Spending two whole days with Lynne and Kathrine, one is bound to create something..
When I got home on Sunday evening I was about to burst with inspiration, so I chose to make one of her pillows....

I made this one, and I plan to make another one as well - two of a kind ;-D

Here is a detail.... I fell in love with that lace, so I knew I had to use it on something very soon.... I think it turned out very nice....

Last Saturday I went on a quest to find the new Tilda book..... The shops I visited hadn't got it yet, but I did manage to get it on Thursday though...

I didn't spend last Saturday alone in the city of Oslo.... I met up with Anne Ida of Quiltoholic.... We spent many hours together, realising we had a lot in common :o)
It turns out we don't live far from each other...... Maybe we'll get togehter for a sew-along.... ;-D

Here is a sneak peak.... It's full of wonderful things to make - it's instant Christmas between two covers!!!

I found this fabric when I was at Kathrines on Friday... I fell for the delicate colours and the woven pattern.... Holly Hobby brings out the nostalgia.... Perfect for baby blankets!!!

Addition, Sunday 21 October.

Happy Birthday Ellen!!!
She is my sister-in-law..... She makes all these artistic animations, so I made her a pillow for her birthday, but instead of placing a picture of some Renaissance relic, I used one of her own pictures.... I believe she was quite pleased with it ;-D

Wish you all a wonderful week!!!!

Tilda

I had a request from, Celine, if I had made anything from Tilda.
Did you know that in France they have their own Tilda addicts group??? How cool is that???? Of course I have made a few things from Tilda over the past YEARS.....lol..... Who can resist????? ;-D

This teapot warmer is one of the items I made several of...... The one above belongs to my sister..... Made true to Tilda design and colour....

My mother-in-law own these two; one for the mountain cabin and one for the boat....... None of them are therefore made in *traditional* Tilda colours.... I adjusted them to fit their surroundings...

I made this sheep, wash cloths with Tilda rabbit faces, and the bag they're in for a friend when she had her first child in 2004.

When I saw these slippers in her latest book, I just had to make them.... The first pair ( left) was just to try out the pattern, the second pair (right) belongs to my sister .... yes those too :o)... I had some leftover tweed from a purse I made, so I decided to make them with that. Very pleased with them....

This is the firs Tilda item I made - It's from Tone Finnanger's book;
Tilda's Christmas (Tildas Jul).

I thought these snowmen were so cute and adorable..... I plan to use them for a christmas picture.... It's been put away for years.... maybe this year.....

This is a Christmas calendar I've been sewing for my oldest daughter..... for the last two years...... not all my projects finish..... I think this qualifies as an UFO??...... This year I hope to finish it!!! I have made a few other Tilda things as well, but I don't have any pictures to show......

This is Tone Finnager's new Tilda book. It will be available for purchase in October..... yiipppppiiii

Have a wonderful weekend every one......
