Her bor den - dette er kreativitetens hule. Den er til enhver tid omgitt av barnlig skapertrang, donert av mine to prestasjonstrengte døtre.... Hvis dette ikke er kjærlighet så vet ikke jeg!! Den observante vil her kjenne igjen PAX skap fra IKEA - hva skulle vi gjort UTEN IKEA???

This is where it lives - the cave of creativity. It's always surrounded by the primary source of creativity - child drawings, here donated by my two daughters. If this isn't love...... The observant reader will spot the PAX closet from IKEA - where would the world be WHITOUT IKEA??

Innimellom overrasker den meg og byr på egneskaper jeg ikke visste at den hadde. Som idag da det viste seg at den faktisk hadde automatiske knappehull og kunne sy i knapper.... Burde vel kanskje ha lest den bruksanvisningen litt nøyere ja ;-D Jeg kan nemlig ikke utstå å sy overnevnte blæh.... Så dette var jo en fantastisk oppdagelse, plutselig ble knapper og knapphull moro!!!

On occasion it surprises me with new and undiscovered talents I didn't know about. Like today for instance, when I found out it could sew automatic buttonholes and sew the buttons for me.... I probably should have read the manual more carefully ;-D. I can't stand sewing those things, but this new discovery was fantastic and now buttonholes and buttons are all joy and fun!!!

Når enden er god......

Vel, idag har det meste gått galt, bloggmessig, i alle fall!!
Jeg hadde bare tenkt å bytte layout.... og dermed forsvant det meste!!!
Dette var en intern layout hos Blogger og ingenting å kjøre back-up på..... Så hvis noen føler seg glemt fra mine linklister så er det derfor - de ble fullstendig borte....

Well, today almost everything has gone wrong, bloggerwise!!!! I only intended to change my layout..... and then everything, well almost, was gone!! This was one of Blogger's own template so I did not get to do a backup....... So if anyone feels left out from my link lists that is why - they disappeared completely.......


Så mesteparten av dagen har jeg forsøkt å få siden til å bli normal.... Når jeg første måtte bruke mye tid på dette så valgte jeg å prøve å få til tre kolonner i bloggen....... For å si det sånn - tålmodighet, tålmodighet, tålmodighet. Nå er det definitivt god natt!! Og ja, jeg sitter på en annen PC enn jeg pleier også, derav de ymse bildene ;-D

So most of today has been spent trying to get everything back to normal.....Since I was at it I thought "why not get a third coloumn"?? To put it this way _ patience, patience, patience. Now it's definitely GOOD NIGHT!! And, yes, I'm on a different computer than usual, hence the odd choice of pictures ;-D

Nytt bilde

Har man fått nytt kamera, så er det helt nødvendig å prøve det ut....! En av funksjonene som jeg er opptatt av er gode nærbilder (macro). Som bonus, for meg, er at det har en egen blomst funksjon. Jeg måtte jo bare prøve dette..... Det endte jo opp med at jeg laget nytt profilbilde. Begynte å bli litt stiv i maska av all denne smilingen.....hihihi... :o)

I thought I'd give my new camera a go :o) I tried out the macro, which is supposed to be excellent, I'm very pleased. The other thing was that this camera has its own flower position :"Effective for taking more vivid shots of flours". Since all that smiling on my profile picture has made my face kind of stiff ...lol... I ended up changing my profile picture. This looks so much better than me!!!

Blomster kan være litt vanskelige, dersom lyset ikke er riktig, så jeg tok bildet inne, på et skyggefult sted..... Jeg likere dette kameraet da!!!!! ;-D
Dette var over all forventning -jeg liker det enda bedre :o) (ikke for å skryte.....vel..., men jeg er glad for denne gaven!!!!!)

Flowers can be difficult unless the lighting is perfect. So I chose to take these pictures inside and in the shadow......man, I love this camera!!! It's all I wished for and more!!!!

God påske og gratulerer med dagen....

Først av alt vil jeg ønske dere alle en riktig god påske. Til nå har været vært strålende og det hadde vært hyggelig om det fortsatte slik, både her i byen og til fjells.... Tar ferie fra i dag av - fjellet kaller.....

I wish you all a very happy Easter!! Until now it has been sunny, it would be nice if it continued like that, both in the city and in the mountains...

Tidligere denne måneden hadde både min søster og min mor fødselsdag :o) Til min søster laget jeg denne lille pompadouren i Tilda-ull. Oppe i den lå smykket som er vist nedenfor.


Earlier this month both my sister and my mother had their birhtdays :o) For my sister I made this little stringbag in wool (shown above), and inside was this necklace....

For my mother I made this rather large stringbag, inside were several small woolen bags with lavender in them :o)

Til min mor laget jeg denne som er av den litt større utgaven. I tillegg fikk hun fire små ullposer med lavendel i :o)


I morgen har jeg bursdag, Hurra!!
Da blir jeg 35 år, fælt som tiden flyr....
Har alltid vært opptatt av bursdag ikke minst min egen (ler...). De er viktige og bør alltid markeres på en eller annen måte, det er den dagen i året som kun er din!!! Alle burde få fri fra jobben på bursdagen sin.....

I have always liked birthdays, especially my own (lol...). They are important and should always be celebrated one way or the other, that day is your day only!!! Everyone should get a day off from work on their birthday.....

Overveldet : Overwhelmed

Jeg kjenner energien komme - den flyter lett gjennom hele kroppen, den varmer og sansene skjerpes! Dernest kommer ideene om hva jeg kan gjøre eller lage.... Deretter ser jeg meg rundt og tenker at det kunnge vært Gøy, eller det kunne vært GØY, eller det eller det.....

I feel the energy emerge - it flows through my body and my senses are sharpening! Then arrives the creativity with ideas of what to do or make. That could be FUN or that could be fun, or that or that or......



SÅ kommer det: en lett matt forvirring sniker seg frem. Hva skal jeg gjøre først? skal jeg sy eller skal jeg rydde? Hva skal jeg sy, hvor skal jeg rydde først? Kanskje jeg skal lage smykker, finne frem perlene jeg ikke har brukt på over ett år?
Kjenner at skuldrene låser seg, og hodet kollapser i en hvirvelvind av spørsmål uten svar.......

The it slowly emerges: the weak feeling of confusion.... What should I do first? Sew or tidy up? What should I sew? Where should I start tidying? Maybe I should find my beads - haven't seen them around for over a year! Feel my shoulders lock, my mind collapses in a twister of questions without answers.....



Overveldet av det hele går jeg rundt meg selv, rastløs - alt for mange valg og muligheter. Sikkert et lukshusproblem, likevel.... Jeg kjenner at jeg lengter etter solen og at den skal befri meg..... En tur ut hjelper sikker - klarne tankene :o) Jeg drar på meg ytterjakke og gummistøveler og går mot døren - men hvor skal jeg gå????



Overwhelmed by it all I circle my self into a corner, restless - too many choices. Probably a luxurious problem, but still..... I long for the sun to set me free! Maybe a walk will help - clear my head :o) I put on my coat and my Wellingtons and stride towards the door - but where to go?????

The feeling of quiet.....

Have you ever had quiet times??? Not necessarily in a good way??
I've been like that for almost a fortnight and it's driving me insane!!! Calm is good, but this quietness is a feeling of emptyness - there is nothing there.....

I have tried three or four times to sit down and write a post, and it's nothing there, my head is still, my thoughts are quiet. My mind and I feel disconnected.....
The worst part is that my creativity is...... boooff.... nowhere to be found!!!


This is a bit what it feels like, and it's not even one of my pictures.... This is bad....very bad..... HELP!!!


I got this earlier this week, by express mail, delivered on my door!! There's a moodlifter!!


It contained Amy Butler's latest book, along with some goodies....
I had almost forgotten that I'd ordered it. ( I even think I posted about it....)

I even got it signed - YES! and by now I have read it :o)
She writes about inspiration and creativity in a very quiet way. I found it soothing, but I will have to go back a few times to really grasp what she is saying!!

Meanwhile I am quietly here, reading your blogs, looking for inspiration and hoping for creativity to come floating in....

My favourite season....

Autumn is my favourite season!
The fresh and cool air in the morning, when the sun peaks through the treetops and makes the sky look crispy blue. To me, autumn is as much a feeling and a state of mind as it is the third seeason of the year.

The thing that I love about autumn is that it's both an end and a beginning at the same time....

It's the end of summer, but it's not only a transition, it has its own temperament and strength. The thing is that it sums the whole year up into one season!! The beginnings I'm talking about are school and the life in general resuming after a loooooong break during summer. Autumn brings: New clothes, new friendships, new possibilities. The feeling of purchasing new pencils and opening new books - glorious!!!

The days shift rapidly during this season; one day is sunny and fresh, the next is moist and foggy.Those are the days when going out gives you the ulitimate experince. The fog is like a veil through the trees, the air is feelig slightly colder. You can smell the lit fireplaces, and given the day, the rain can blow in all directions causing leafs to whirl around you as you take a walk. The daylight is loosing its place as darkness takes over and nights are instanly getting longer.

As the day gets shorter, the temprature drops, the trees lose their leaves and nature is preparing for an extended sleep, winter comes crawling - almost unnoticed....The days are turning into gray, shades of white yellow and pink - frost covers the ground and makes everything quiet and still. Then one morning - winter arrives, and the silence is complete.....


While speaking of autumn - and I always associate Pooh with autumn, trees faling down becuase of the wind, Piglet flying as a kite, and Owl drinking tea while his house is crumbling - I haven't been able to finish the Winnie the Pooh quilt yet...... where did the time go..... I'm sure, though, that I'm getting there..... I have a very impatient 3 year old!! I only have the quilting and bindig part left.... Here is a little preview

My favourite time is when we all take long walks together, and the girls can spend some time at playgrounds, and we can just sit and enjoy their laughter and fun......

Complete Breakdown

First of all I would like to thank all the 140+ who has visited my blog this last 10 days. It's been fun to find that so many of you takes time to read and look through my posts, and I love getting comments, so thank you all.

My plan was to put out a new post in the middle of LAST week, but on Monday night disaster struck, our main computer with all our pictures, went out cold. I must admit that I had difficulty coming to terms with the fact that all on that harddrive might be lost....... heartbreak.....

Luckily a friend of ours has managed to restore all the pictures and a few other vital files, like our household accounts.........pew.......... So what have I learned from this??? Always make a BACKUP - always..........

The pictures in this post is what I had on my laptop - not very exciting, but it was available :O)
Until the weekend, when we get the restored files, I wish you all a wonderful week :O)
